The Trinity is what we call an ontology: a model that explains what is.
In the Bible, God introduces Himself to Moses with the words “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14). He is then expressed through the Holy Spirit and the Son, God incarnated in Creation. The three are indivisible, complete in themselves, and almighty. This is a mystery and a dogma of Christian faith because it is, in essence, an ontology of who and what we are.
Pointfulness starts from the Singularity of the Consciousness of Being. It is the smallest possible concept for anything to exist. The Point that asserts “I am” marks the difference between nothing and something. It can stand alone; it needs no complement. It is indivisible, self-sufficient, and complete. It explains being by itself.
There is only one other concept that can explain being by itself: the Everything, the Whole. All that can possibly exist is there—every combination, every particle, every form of energy. This Wholeness also reaches the Consciousness of Being by extension. It is what we might fully know only in Eternity.
The Singularity and the Everything express the same reality and are united by Information.
The Everything is the Singularity unfolded through Information: all that can be known about being. It is complete; nothing is missing from it.
This is the Trinity of Pointfulness:
– the Singularity, comparable to God, pure potential;
– Information, comparable to the Holy Spirit, which encodes the passage from potential to manifestation;
– the Everything, comparable to the Son or Creation, generated from energy and information.
The three are indivisible, complete, and self-sufficient. This is a non-religious ontology, offered as a way to understand who we are and where everything comes from at the most fundamental level.
From Ontology to Physics
Pointfulness goes one step further. It relates this ontology to physics. Although it has not yet been proven, it relies on a falsifiable physical model, not on poetry alone.
In this model, the Singularity corresponds to a Quantum Field: a highly energetic void where potential is not yet manifested. There is no time, no space, no matter—only energy waiting to be revealed. It is what exists before anything exists.
The Everything corresponds to Creation as we partially experience it through life: the actual realisation of possibilities. Between the Quantum Field and Creation lies Information, the coding that transforms potential into manifestation. This is precisely what modern physics seeks to uncover.
In my ontological model of physics, mass emerges from a perturbation of the Quantum Field: a local densification of energy that stabilises itself by generating a geometric void around it, so that the density of the underlying substrate remains constant. Because of this perturbation, other masses form with their own associated volumes and tend to assemble in ways that minimise surface energy—much like soap bubbles merging.
When a sufficiently large mass forms within its surrounding absolute vacuum, temperature and pressure become so extreme that a small fraction of the mass converts back into energy. This triggers a massive expulsion of matter into the surrounding vacuum—a process analogous to what is currently described as the Big Bang, though without an unexplained origin.
From there, our universe unfolds—and likely an infinity of others—following the same sequence, governed by geometric information and a principle of constant density.
A Philosophical Position
This ontology may ultimately be right or wrong. That is for science to decide.
If it is right, you would be among the first human beings to encounter a new explanation of where we come from. If it is wrong, it still matters: the path will have been explored, and no one will need to explore it again.
Regardless of its physical validity, the Trinity of Pointfulness remains a philosophical ontology—a coherent and subtle framework capable of uniting religious visions and ancient wisdoms without mysticism.
The Pointfulness Foundation, based in Santiago de Chile, aims to foster the art of philosophising as a way to understand the human condition, accept it, and live more lightly. These texts are offered to be read, discussed, shared—and, for those who wish, supported financially, so that this work of reflection may continue.
